Hello!

Observer. Listener. Painter. Fellow Traveler.

Mission:
Belief that we have souls that live forever inspires me to create non- traditional portrayals of ‘everyday immortals’ and to help others claim and magnify the co- creative powers bestowed on them by God.”

We are here to become the best versions of ourselves and to encourage others as we walk each other home. This journey as ‘saints in the making’, forms the very core of my work- to paint portals through which to celebrate the innate beauty, self- worth and dignity uncovered in often hidden narratives.

I graduated from Ringling School of Art in Illustration and Graphic Design and worked in the industry until 2003, when I began painting full time. I live in a rural area of central South Carolina, married to the same guy for over forty years, and I work out of my home studio.

BIO: Libby Bussinah, (American, 1957-)

With over 40 years of experience, Libby earned her degree from Ringling College of Art & Design in fine art, illustration, and graphic design. She combines her classical training in creating nontraditional portrayals, employing amplified colors, drawing, and metal leaf. She uses traditional art materials, coupled with computer technology to create paintings in a fusion she calls “Tradigital”.

She has exhibited in invitational, juried, group and solo shows primarily in the Southeastern United States. Recently, she was invited as the original concept, content creator and participant in the W.O.A.-H! (Women of Age – Ha!) exhibit at her alma mater. The eight-woman show focused on the vitality and creativity of women artists with more life experience. She assisted in the invitational process, in collaboration with the gallery, as well as placement, hanging the show and appearing in a livestreamed interview about her work.

Libby currently lives and works from her home studio in a rural area just outside Columbia, in central South Carolina
